turkey        HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

With only a few weeks left in 2011, we are reflecting on this past year's challenges and victories and looking ahead to 2012. We continue to be encouraged and humbled by the sacrifices so many of you have made in support of this ministry. Thank you!
 thanks2
In October we took a team to the interior mountain villages where there are so many desperate for the necessities of life; clean water, shelter, and most importantly, nutritious food. We brought back several critically ill children who were suffering from severe malnutrition. We are collaborating with other ministries to be able to more consistently bring food into these areas, in addition to continuing our efforts at increasing the availability of clean water and mthanke111edical care.

As we assist the villages with these important needs, they are strengthened physically, encouraged spiritually and are anxious to have the tools they need to provide for themselves and care for their families. Our Haitian friends know what hard work is and they take pride in being able to provide for their families, but the lack of proper resources robs them of their health and ability to do just that, even at a very basic level.thanks11 Please pray for these precious people and their families and pray for us as we ask God to help us make the most of the resources given to us to help them.

As you plan your end-of-the-year giving, we are asking if you would consider including an additional gift of $10, $25, $100 or more with your regular monthly giving, or sending a special one -time gift of any amount to help us as we minister to those around us during the Christmas season. This year has been one of our most difficult and we are experiencing a significant shortfall in our general fund. Your gift will go a long way toward bringing us into the New Year without a deficit. Each one doing a little will make a big difference for many.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends, we want you to know how grateful we are for your faithfulness to the ministry of WORLD HARVEST MISSIONS  and   NEW LIFE CHILDREN'S HOME. You have truly given so many others a reason to be thankful.

"This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God."    2 Cor.9:12 NIVthanks0

May God richly bless you and your families as you celebrate His goodness...

Happy Thanksgiving!

New Life Children's Home in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, was established in 1977. Our desire for the children at NLCH is that each child in our care know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Our goal is to impart hope and a renewed vision for their future through teaching the wisdom of God's Word and equipping and preparing them through education and training to reach their potential as influential leaders in their homes, communities and nation.
