Praise the Lord!!!! our last count on the moneys raised from the June 11 Fundraising Banquet was approx $13,000.00!!! 

A HUGE thank you to all who came out and donated, helped or bought an item!! You all have blessed the lives of the less fortunate in Haiti.

ATTN: Mentoring in Missions: Hands for Haiti Fundraising Banquet and Auction

To whom it may concern,

On Saturday June 11^th, our Hands for Haiti group will be hosting a succulent dinner - with a hint of Haitian style. Included in the night will also be silent and live auctions and some live local entertainment. The event will be held at Dawson Creek’s Seniors Hall, starting at 5pm.

We are graciously seeking out community support to help make this event a success, and to help us in our journey of servitude and restoration in Haiti!  Any monetary, or silent or live auction donation would be greatly appreciated!  

Much of our time in Haiti will be spent helping at an orphanage called “New Life Children’s Home” (http://www.newlife4kids.org/). While there, we will help with such things as: spreading the good word of the Lord, assisting with building projects, supporting the teachers and childcare workers, and providing relief for the missionaries serving at the children’s home. We believe we can help put some hope into the lives of some lovely Haitians - and you can, too, by contributing to this cause. :-)

We will be using the proceeds from this banquet to help get us to Haiti, and to help us serve well during our time there.  With the devastation that has taken place, we are especially hoping to financially support building projects at the children’s home.  For tax purposes, please make cash/monetary donations out to Rolla Bible Baptist Church, with a note indicating that it’s for the Hands for Haiti group. As a small way of thanks, we will be setting up a display at the banquet, highlighting our donors and contributors.
