1Dear Friends

We are so grateful for your prayers for little Lovence. He now has gained 6 lbs, and his sweet and fun personality is coming out each day. I had to have God remind me to concentrate more than ever on the feeling of abandonment that the children that we rescue have. Being taken out of everything they have ever known has to be a helpless feeling that they cannot communicate. It is difficult enough for them to fight the battle just to survive. I can't imagine how hard it is for them not knowing who these strange people are and whether or not they will ever see their Momma or family again. We never take this lightly and we pour so much love into each of these rescued children, while also concentrating on the medical, physical, and emotional process of healing. What is the child going through in his own little mind and heart? Is he content that he is clean and full and loved? How does he feel inside? How is Lovence's mother coping? She has six other children in a village with very little food and no clean water. What is it like to go to bed each night and hear your child cry for food? She probably lays on rags on the dirt floor, wondering what she can offer them tomorrow. There is no food to get up to. Lovence's father begged us for a tarp to cover their hut. He said that when it rains, they all have to stand up all night. They live in this horrible misery that we can't relate to.

Lovence has been so terribly sick that his immune system and  body is worn out just trying to survive. How many more like him are out there? They die one at a time.  They are rescued one at a time. We can never stop. Each one could have been our child. I wonder what the critics who complain that we should be working in our own country would do if it was their child! Do they forget that FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD? In our county, we would never let a family die of starvation and disease.  We would run to help them. Thank God for churches and organizations that reach out to the poor. You are truly God's hands extended!

Miriam and Lovence

We thank each one who reaches out to these children. I put Lovence to bed every night...right beside me! Have you ever felt a little hand tapping you to wake up at five thirty in the morning, even if you're not ready to get up? Then, I see his smile light up his face as he scoots next to me and giggles. Yes, we at New Life are being

     TOUCHED BY ANOTHER ANGEL!
