Dr. Stephen P. Schroering Dr. Stephen Schroering has been a physician volunteer for World Harvest Missions and its orphanage, New Life Children's Home in Port au Prince, Haiti, since 2008. He and his wife live in Fort Myers, Florida and have two daughters and three grandchildren. Dr. Schroering is a graduate of the University of Louisville Medical School and completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, California. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 1992 (re-certified in 2003 and 2012) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His practice is located in Punta Gorda, Florida. Dr. Schroering has volunteered and worked with many local, national and international humanitarian and philanthropic organizations. He helped found Lee County Volunteers in Medicine in December 2009 and serves as Chairman of the Board. This organization provides free healthcare to the uninsured, under-insured and working poor for all of Lee County. Dr. Schroering has been a tireless advocate for the children of Haiti and we are honored to have him serve as our Medical Director.
