Hi Friends, It has been along time since my last update.  Thank you so much for your patience.  Things are so busy here in Haiti and at Mission of Grace.  The mission has received many visitors over the past few months, we love to see new faces.  We have had a few medical teams that have seen over 400 patients, we had a group from Florida come and help us celebrate our first anniversary in Grace Community Church, we had a group from Jacksonville, Florida come and help us with our first community wedding in which we married 23 couples, and we had 2 groups come and help us do a Vacation Bible School at Grace Community School where we had 200 kids and we did another Vacation Bible School 5 minutes from us and we had 150 kids.  So it has been busy but so neat to see how God is growing us and bringing so many people to help us.

We celebrated our first anniversary for Mission of Grace as an organization and also Children of Grace Orphanage, Home of Grace Elderly Home, Grace Community Church and we finished our first school year with Grace Community School.  God has been so faithful in providing our every need.  Some months have been been more faith building than other months as we stretch our pennies to meet our monthly budget but at the end of the month we find that God has multiplied our food, resources and finances.  Thank you again for everyone who prayers, comes and gives.

Children of Grace Orphanage has now recieved it's 31 child.  The babies are doing so well.  They are advancing, walking, talking and being so interactive.  It has been such a gift to be able to see them when they come to us so malnourshed and sick, then to see them a few months later and they are healthy, and growing.  The gift of life!  Haiti has taught me to value life, to value today, to do what I can today and trust tomorrow in the Lord's hands.  My mind lately has been thinking about how fragile life is, how can i love more today, how can I embrace today more and not worry about tomorrow.  So what am I doing with today, how am I living today, do i take the time to stop and hold my babies, time to play with the kids, time to sit with the grandma's.

We are starting another school year September 24, 2012.  We are expanding by adding 20 more students, 2 more teachers and 2 more assistants.  we will then be at 100 students and 10 staff.  We are excited to grow and see the accomplishments of the students last year as we just ended that year in June and the kids did so well.

I wanted to share a few of our needs as we enter into a new school year and as the mission expands:
Grace Community School Financial Needs ONE TIME DONATIONS NEEDED: these amounts are in u.s. currency
 School Books - $4,000.00
Uniforms - $2,000.00
12 new school benches - $2,000.00
2 new tables - $200.00

Supplies for Kitchen - plates, spoons, cups, pots, etc. - $500.00

These are the one time donations that we need to prepare for the school opening on September 24, 2012.

We also have needs every month with our Payroll for the school.  I can give you more information if you are interested in sponsoring a staff member monthly.  There wages vary from $75 per month - $450 per month.

Please contact me if you would also like to know the needs of the orphanage and of the Elderly Home.  I always say God calls us each to do something, some of us he calls us to go, some he calls us to pray and others he calls us to give.  Thank you for being part of this ministry as we see leaders develop and lives changed.
